Keegan Butcher-Baker (Zack Morris) has been through a lot over the past couple of months in EastEnders, but matters proceeded to get worse for the young man when he was arrested on the day of Vinny Panesar’s (Shiv Jalota) party, and — as tensions escalate — he lashes out in front of Bailey (Kara-Leah Fernandes).
Tiffany (Maisie Smith) warned Keegan about payday loans — and he became increasingly annoyed as a result — but Kheerat (Jaz Deol) later overheard Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) reassuring Tiffany in regards to Keegan, and therefore he took it upon himself to offer the young man a loan.
Later, Keegan presented Tiffany with Karen’s (Lorraine Stanley) old engagement ring, and they headed to Vinny’s party.
During the party, things spiralled out of control rather quickly — following an incident in which Vinny’s pal Hari insulted both Ash (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) and Iqra (Priya Davdra) — and the police arrived, leaving all the party-goers somewhat panicked.
However, matters were made worse when a brick is thrown at a police car. With things having got way out of hand, Tiffany and Keegan made an exit, but Keegan found himself getting arrested, as he was accused of having thrown the brick.
Tiffany got Jack (Scott Maslen) involved in the hopes that he’d be able to help, but after receiving an update from a fellow colleague, he came to realise just how much trouble Keegan was actually in.
The evidence is stacked against him, but he was later released under investigation — and Tiffany dropped a bombshell on him upon his return.
In the coming episodes, Tiffany can’t stop thinking about Whitney (Shona McGarty) and therefore she berates Keegan for the apparent mood he’s in, but the chaos at the Taylor household is too much for him to handle, and thus he explodes.
However, little does he know that Bailey has witnessed his outburst, and when he comes to realise this, he’s mortified as a result.
